Welcome to Live Tayyib™. By accessing or using this website, mobile app, application programming interfaces (APIs), or related services (together, the "Service"), or by creating an account and accepting these Terms during registration, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Parties and roles
The Live Tayyib™ Service is offered under the brand Live Tayyib™ by Pure Healing Foundation Organization ("Publisher," "we," "us," or "our" for purposes of published content and these Terms as they relate to informational materials). Formation of a separate LIVE TAYYIB LLC entity is in progress; until that entity is formed and these Terms are updated, Pure Healing Foundation Organization is the publisher responsible for the Service's informational content.
KaBiQ Tech LLC (also referred to as KabiqTech), Chicago, USA, is the technical partner engaged by Pure Healing Foundation Organization to design, develop, host, and maintain the website, iOS and Android mobile applications, backend systems, data architectures, and related technical infrastructure as requested by Pure Healing Foundation Organization. KaBiQ Tech LLC is not the publisher of product Tayyib / Non-Tayyib determinations, editorial guidance, or other informational content shown in the Service, and does not own the Live Tayyib™ trademarks.
Content responsibility. Pure Healing Foundation Organization is solely responsible for the informational content published through the Service, including product status labels (for example Tayyib or Non-Tayyib), explanatory reasoning, guides, and related messaging. Mentions of mission partners, content collaborators, or endorsements do not transfer that responsibility to KaBiQ Tech LLC or any other party.
2. Intended audience
The Service — including this website and the mobile app — is intended only for customers located in the United States. It is not directed to users outside the U.S. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you do so at your own initiative and are solely responsible for compliance with local laws. We make no representation that the Service is appropriate or available for use outside the United States.
3. Nature of the Service
Live Tayyib is an informational lookup tool. We display packaged-food product data and AI-assisted Tayyib assessments that classify products into informational status labels (for example Tayyib, Tayyib (May not be Halal), Tayyib (Non-Halal), or Not Tayyib). Those assessments and their reasoning are based on product and ingredient data from USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts (where applicable), reviewed with assistance from artificial intelligence, and produced under guidance collected from Pure Healing Foundation Organization.
The Service is not a medical, dietary, religious, laboratory, or regulatory certification service. Nothing on the Service constitutes medical advice, a diagnosis, a safety guarantee, a religious ruling, or a determination that a product is lawful, safe, Halal, non-Halal, or free of any substance.
4. No Halal certification
Live Tayyib is not a Halal certification issuing authority and does not certify, audit, or endorse any product as Halal or non-Halal. Any "Require a Halal source check?" (or similar) flags are automated, informational matches based on ingredient label wording and a curated reference list of animal-derived or source-ambiguous ingredients. They are not a fatwa, scholarly ruling, laboratory analysis, or substitute for certification from a recognized Halal body.
A "Yes" on this flag means the label appears to contain (or may contain) ingredients that come from animals or whose animal/plant source is not clear from the wording (for example meat, poultry, gelatin, or animal rennet/enzymes). Plain milk, butter, and simple milk products do not by themselves trigger this flag. In cases that do, you should verify Halal status with the brand or seller. Confirmed pork/swine-derived ingredients and clear alcohol or alcoholic-beverage label cues (for example wine, sake, mirin, beer, or spirits) are shown as NOT HALAL on this row — not as a source check. If a brand confirms the source, processing, or certification status of an ingredient in a way that addresses a flag shown in the Service, you may disregard our informational flag for that product. A "No" / absence of this flag does not mean a product is Halal.
For religious dietary decisions, consult a qualified scholar or a recognized Halal certification organization, and verify directly with the product brand when needed.
5. AI-assisted Tayyib assessments
When you open a product, we may generate or retrieve an AI-assisted Tayyib assessment using a third-party model (currently Google Gemini). The assessment uses product name, brand, barcode, ingredient text from USDA and/or Open Food Facts, curated seed matches, and guidance provided by Pure Healing Foundation Organization. It may also attempt to find publicly available Halal certification clues. Outputs are informational only and can be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect.
To reduce cost and keep results stable, we generally store AI assessment results keyed to the product and a hash of the ingredient text. If the same product is looked up again with the same ingredients, we may show the stored result instead of calling the model again. If ingredient text changes (or no stored result exists), we may generate a new assessment.
AI status labels are not Halal certificates, medical diagnoses, or safety guarantees. Do not rely on them as the sole basis for dietary, medical, or religious decisions. You must exercise independent judgment, verify the physical product label, and use or disregard Service information at your own risk.
6. Data sources
Product and risk information shown in the Service is collected or derived from the following third-party resources, AI review, and Publisher guidance (and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrectly matched):
- USDA FoodData Central — Branded Foods — primary catalog for product names, brands, barcodes (GTIN/UPC), categories, serving information, and ingredient label text.
- Open Food Facts — remote product photo URLs (images are loaded from their CDN; we do not host product image files). When a barcode is missing from USDA Branded Foods, we may also show product name, brand, and ingredient text from Open Food Facts via their official API (Open Database License / ODbL). Community-contributed OFF data may differ from the physical package; always verify the label.
- IARC Monographs (International Agency for Research on Cancer / WHO) — classifications used for informational ingredient matching (Groups 1, 2A, and 2B, via curated seed data).
- California Proposition 65 (OEHHA) — cancer-related chemical listings used for informational ingredient matching.
- Curated editorial seeds and Pure Healing Foundation Organization guidance — including other ingredients of concern, Halal source-check cues, and Tayyib assessment guidance provided by Pure Healing Foundation Organization (not certification databases).
- Google Gemini — optional AI-assisted Tayyib assessment and Halal-information lookup; responses may be cached against product and ingredient text.
Neither Pure Healing Foundation Organization nor KaBiQ Tech LLC independently laboratory-tests products. We do not create the underlying product labels or chemical classifications published by third parties. Matches and assessments are automated or AI-assisted against ingredient text and may produce false positives or false negatives.
7. Limited license to use the Service
Subject to these Terms, Pure Healing Foundation Organization grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and use the Service solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes as an end user through our official website and official mobile applications. Technical delivery of that access is provided by KaBiQ Tech LLC as technical partner.
No other rights are granted. You may not use the Service as a product, data feed, platform, or backend for any other website, app, business, research project, or service — whether free or paid — without prior written permission from Pure Healing Foundation Organization.
8. No API, scraping, or bulk access
Our APIs, endpoints, databases, and data responses exist only to power official Live Tayyib clients. Unless we expressly authorize you in a separate written agreement:
- You may not call, wrap, proxy, or integrate our APIs (or any undocumented endpoints) from third-party software, bots, scripts, scrapers, browser extensions, or other services;
- You may not use Live Tayyib as an API service, data provider, or wholesale lookup backend for your own product or customers;
- You may not scrape, harvest, crawl, mirror, bulk download, or systematically collect content, product data, assessments, flags, guides, recipes, or other materials from the website, app, or APIs;
- You may not bypass, disable, or interfere with rate limits, authentication, usage limits, access controls, or other technical protection measures.
We may monitor usage for abuse and may throttle, block, suspend, or terminate access (including by IP address, account, device, or other identifiers) if we believe these Terms are violated.
9. Intellectual property and trademarks
Published content. As between you and Pure Healing Foundation Organization, Pure Healing Foundation Organization is responsible for, and retains rights in, the Live Tayyib™ name and branding as used in the Service, and the informational content published through the Service — including product assessments, status labels, explanatory notes, guides, recipes, and curated guidance materials (collectively, "Published Content"), subject to third-party rights in underlying source data.
Trademarks. The Live Tayyib™ name, word mark, logo, stylized mark, trade dress, and related brand identifiers (collectively, the "Live Tayyib Marks") are trademarks and/or service marks of Pure Healing Foundation Organization. The Live Tayyib Marks may not be copied, reproduced, imitated, modified, distributed, publicly displayed, sold, licensed, framed, mirrored, or otherwise used by any person or entity without prior written permission from Pure Healing Foundation Organization. No license to use the Live Tayyib Marks is granted by these Terms except the limited right to view them as displayed in the official Service. Unauthorized use of the Live Tayyib Marks is strictly prohibited and may violate trademark, unfair-competition, and other laws. All goodwill arising from use of the Live Tayyib Marks inures solely to Pure Healing Foundation Organization. The "™" designation indicates a claimed trademark; federal registration status may be updated as applications proceed.
Platform technology. As between you and KaBiQ Tech LLC, KaBiQ Tech LLC owns or retains rights in the software, source code, object code, user interfaces as implemented in code, APIs, databases and data architectures, hosting and deployment configurations, and related technical systems developed to deliver the Service (collectively, "Platform Technology"). End users receive only the limited license in Section 7. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Platform Technology or the Live Tayyib Marks to you or to any third party, including KaBiQ Tech LLC as technical partner.
Third-party data and trademarks (including USDA, IARC/WHO, OEHHA, Open Food Facts, Google, and product brands) remain the property of their respective owners. Display of such data does not imply endorsement by those organizations and does not transfer any ownership to you. Where third-party licenses apply to underlying source datasets, those licenses govern that source data — not a license to copy our Service, UI, Live Tayyib Marks, or original compilation.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, publicly display, republish, sell, rent, lease, license, frame, mirror, create derivative works from, or otherwise exploit Published Content, the Live Tayyib Marks, or Platform Technology, in whole or in part, except for limited personal viewing as an end user of the Service, or with prior written consent from the applicable rights holder.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misrepresent Service output as a medical diagnosis, religious ruling, official Halal (or other) certification, or an AI guarantee of safety;
- Copy, republish, or redistribute substantial portions of Published Content or Platform Technology (including guides, recipes, assessments, flags, or UI) without permission;
- Copy, imitate, or use the Live Tayyib™ name, logo, or other Live Tayyib Marks except as displayed in the official Service;
- Use Service output to train, fine-tune, or improve machine-learning or AI models, or to build a competing food-screening or Halal/Tayyib lookup service;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract source code or underlying ideas from the Service, except to the limited extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- Scrape, overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Service or its APIs;
- Circumvent account or payment (if any) limits, or share credentials in a way that enables unauthorized bulk use;
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes.
11. Suspension, termination, and remedies
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use harms the Service, other users, or our rights. Upon termination, the license in Section 7 ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and remedies) will survive.
Unauthorized use of the Service, Published Content, or Platform Technology may violate copyright, trademark, computer-fraud, and other laws. Pure Healing Foundation Organization and KaBiQ Tech LLC reserve all rights and remedies available at law or in equity, including injunctive relief and damages, with respect to their respective rights.
12. No warranties; use at your own risk
The Service and all content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, Halal status, Tayyib status, or uninterrupted availability. Third-party data may change without notice; our copy may lag behind the source.
You acknowledge that product information and Tayyib / Non-Tayyib labels may be wrong, incomplete, or outdated. You must practice caution, verify information independently (including the physical package label), and decide whether to rely on any Service output entirely at your own risk. If you do not accept that risk, do not use the Service.
13. Limitation of liability; KaBiQ Tech LLC disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pure Healing Foundation Organization, its officers, members, contributors, and affiliates disclaim all legal liability arising from your use of the Service or reliance on any information displayed, including product ingredients, alcohol signals, cancer-risk flags, Halal source-check flags, AI Tayyib assessments, IARC or Prop 65 matches, photos, categories, or barcodes — except to the extent such disclaimer is prohibited by applicable law.
KaBiQ Tech LLC technical-partner disclaimer. KaBiQ Tech LLC provides Platform Technology solely as a technical partner to LIVE TAYYIB LLC. To the fullest extent permitted by law, KaBiQ Tech LLC, its officers, members, employees, contractors, and affiliates have no legal responsibility or liability for the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any Published Content, product data, Tayyib / Non-Tayyib classifications, AI outputs, or other informational materials shown in the Service, and shall not be a party to, or liable for, any claim, demand, or legal action by any user or third party arising from alleged incorrect, incomplete, or misleading information in the Service. Any such claim relating to published information is solely between you and Pure Healing Foundation Organization (subject to these Terms), not KaBiQ Tech LLC.
You assume full responsibility for any decisions you make based on the Service. Neither Pure Healing Foundation Organization nor KaBiQ Tech LLC is liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages — including loss of health, data, profits, or goodwill — even if advised of the possibility of such damages, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to applicable law, you agree that courts located in Cook County, Illinois (or the federal courts for that district) are an appropriate venue for disputes arising out of these Terms or the Service.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
